Asian-American teens spend more on shopping than any other ethnic group, study finds

It's no secret that young people love to shop, but when it comes to doling out the cash, Asian-American teens spend the most on fashion per month, a new survey finds.

In a recent poll of 1,300 teenagers and college students, online marketing group Y Pulse found that Asian Americans spend more than any other ethnic group, dishing up an average $140.97 each month on clothes, Fashionista reports.

White teenagers spend the least amount, forking up only $111.58 per month.

When it comes to spending per trip, Latinos drop the most cash, spending on average $98.20 per shopping spree.

One obvious find? College women spend the most in general, averaging $139.46  while shopping per month, while college males are more willing to spend their money all at once, dropping an average $99.25 per trip.

And as far as teen spending goes, it comes as no surprise that nearly 1 in 5 of those surveyed prefer shopping with mom – and her credit card – more than anyone else.
